Amir (Behrouz) Tayarani is a member of the National-Religious political movement, a journalist, and a writer specializing in contemporary Iranian history, particularly in the field of political parties. He was born in 1959 in Tehran and completed his studies in history at the University of Tehran. Tayarani began his professional career in the early 1980s as a reporter and writer for Ettelaat newspaper. Alongside his journalism work, he also served as Deputy Director at the National Archives and Documents Organization of Iran. Since 1993, he has been in charge of the Ettelaat newspaper archives.

Starting in the 1980s, Tayarani contributed not only to Ettelaat but also to other newspapers and journals, notably Iran-e-Farda and Cheshmandaz-e-Iran. Among his other activities is the founding of the research company "Noandish" in the 2000s, along with a group of colleagues. This phase of his career included research on the history of social security services in Iran.

Over the years, Tayarani has published more than 20 books and hundreds of articles in various newspapers and journals. His book The History of Political Parties in Iran is considered one of the key sources for understanding the country's political parties.
